To this question a freshly new OECD chapter 8 contained in the Global Happiness Policy Report 2018 (published by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network) tries to give an answer, documenting a selection of country experiences. It describes 13 measurement frameworks that have been adopted, 10 countries that have developed explicit mechanisms to introduce well-being metrics into policy decisions, and 7 case studies (Ecuador, France, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom).
