European Research and Innovation Days is the European Commission’s annual flagship event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic this year, the event will be fully online and takes place on 22-24 September 2020. By creating connections between cutting-edge scientific research and the most pressing challenges of a generation, the EU R&I Days represent a unique opportunity to join the conversation and enact real change.
Get involved in order to delve into questions that go from tackling the climate crisis to building a digital world that works for everyone and to discuss how research and innovation will benefit the future of Europe just ahead of the 2021 launch of Horizon Europe - the next research and innovation programme - and a revitalised European Research Area.
The EU R&I Days are open to everyone with an interest in the topic:
Registration is free of charge, it is mandatory and is taking place in the event site now.
There will be 3 days of intensive policy co-designing, thought-provoking panels and matchmaking opportunities. Interactive sessions will offer the opportunity to provide input on how research and innovation policy and funding can help pave the way to a green, digital and resilient future.
At the heart of the event is the fully virtual policy conference. But there will be surely a lot to listen to and learn in the scheduled plenary sessions as well as in the 10 central hubs the rest of the conference is divided into, each covering a central theme in EU research and innovation policy, from the European Green Deal to digitalisation and smart implementation.
